The Global Tea Fair China is regarded as the most prestigious trade fair in the tea industry and was established in 2008. Its name reflects its international focus and emphasis on tea. The esteemed Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China, serves as the venue for this fair, which biannually, in autumn and spring, attracts tea enthusiasts and professionals from all over the world.

Behind the organization is the Shenzhen Huajuchen International Exhibition Group Co., Ltd. Over the years, they have forged solid partnerships with over 8,700 tea companies, associations, and research institutions. The fair showcases a wide range of topics: from the introduction of new tea varieties and business initiation to research and development in the tea sector. The Tang Dynasty, often referred to as the “Golden Age of Tea,” saw the widespread popularization of tea across the country. During this period, Lu Yu penned the significant treatise, “The Classic of Tea” (Cha Jing). Today, China is renowned for its impressive array of tea types, including green tea, black tea, Oolong tea, and many others.
A unique feature of the fair is the Business-Matching Program, which promotes direct dialogue between visitors and industry representatives. Thanks to the efforts of over 500 media professionals, the fair’s coverage reaches an international audience in five languages.
The majority of the exhibitors come from the tea industry, while the primary attendees are tea traders, exporters, and connoisseurs. It’s noteworthy that the Global Tea Fair China is just one of many fairs coordinated by the HJC Group.
