All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE)

The All China Leather Exhibition, commonly known as ACLE, was inaugurated in 1998 and quickly established itself as the premier showcase for the Chinese leather industry. Hosted at the impressive Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), it’s an annual event usually scheduled for August or September. The event is organized by the renowned APLF Limited, a prominent name in the exhibition industry. Leather and leather-based products boast a rich heritage in China.

Spanning from time-honored leather craftsmanship to the nuances of modern mass production, leather has consistently been a cornerstone of the Chinese culture and economy. Particularly in the last few decades, the Chinese leather industry has witnessed remarkable advancements in technology and efficiency. Presently, China ranks as one of the leading global exporters of leather goods, with a special emphasis on shoes and handbags. ACLE provides an exhaustive overview of the leather industry, encapsulating every phase of leather production from raw hides to the finished products. The exhibition showcases raw hides and skins, semi-processed leather, leather-specific chemicals, and the machinery required for the end product’s manufacturing.
